WALLINGFORD — Ian Marshall showed up to The Farms Country Club on Tuesday morning without a spot in the Spring PGA Stroke Play event.

He left Tuesday evening with a spot in the Travelers Championship.

Marshall, the head pro at Watertown Golf Club, beat Indian Hill CC’s Adam D’Amario on the first hole of a playoff to win the event and automatically qualify for this year’s Travelers June 21-24 at TPC River Highlands.
