Travelers is in its third year of a four-year agreement as the title sponsor for the former Greater Hartford Open. That agreement included a two-year option following the 2010 tournament.
The tournament is held annually at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

Sources indicated it is possible Travelers extended its own association past the two-year option.Expected to be in attendance, or join it via teleconference, includes PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem and Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell.
Sources indicated that Rell will be the honorary chairperson of this year's Travelers, the 58th year of the event.Travelers saved the tournament from extinction from the PGA Tour. The Greater Hartford Jaycees and the tournament committee chose to reject the Fall Series and seek an event on the Champions Tour. A spot opened up on the 2007 Fed Ex Cup schedule a week before them tournament was to become a Champions Tour event.
