A hole-in-one ... on a par-4
If you have been fortunate enough to record at least one hole-in-one in your golf lifetime, consider yourself fortunate.
Dennis Dammling of Hamden never had one either, until July 27 when he recorded one at Laurel View Country Club - on the par-4 10th hole, which measures 330 yards from the blue tees.
Check out Thursday's register to read how Dammling did get that rare double-eagle on a par-4. Also, Average Joe, who has no holes-in-one (shocking, I know), attempts to play the par-5 13th hole at Wallingford Country Club.
On another subject, check out Wednesday's Register to see how the Wallingford Little League makes out against Glastonbury National. The winner of Tuesday night's game advances to the Little League Eastern Regional Friday in Bristol.
