New England Seniors coming to Race Brook CC

The New England Golf Association (NEGA) will be holding its 14th N.E.G.A. Senior Amateur Championship at Race Brook Country Club (Orange) on Tuesday and Wednesday. Race Brook is one of the few clubs to host two major NEGA tournaments - the NEGA Amateur Championship in 2004 and the NEGA Senior Championship this year.

120 players from the six New England states will be playing.

Area players who will be playing include:
From Race Brook: Bob Crowley (12:27 p.m., 10th tee), Dave Czaplicki (12:09 p.m., 10th tee), Mark Fries (1:03 p.m.,10th tee), Deke Hotchkiss (12:36 p.m., 10th tee), Art Lebreck (12:18 p.m., 10th tee), Wayne Garrick (1:12 p.m., first tee) , Steve Lane (1:21 p.m., first tee) and Tom McQueeney (1:21 p.m., first tee).
Madison C.C. - Bob Ruby (8:27 a.m., 1oth tee)
C.C. of Woodbridge - Wynne Bohonnon (9:03, 10th tee), and Lou Stone (9:03 a.m., 1st tee)
The Course at Yale - Brian Cohen (1:12 p.m., first tee) and Bill Lee (9:12, 10th tee).
New Haven CC - John Walsh (12:09 p.m., 1st tee)

Dave Szewczul is the defending champion. He is in the same group as Stone on Tuesday.
