Chet Hrostek (Oxford Greens GC) shot a 3-under-par 69 at Fairview Farm GC in Harwinton and Mike Carey (East Hartford GC) is 3-under through 17 holes in the rain-delayed 30th Connecticut Public Links Championship.

Rain delayed the start of the 36-hole event for 2 1/2 hours and a thunderstorm suspended play with 14 groups still left to finish. Play will resume today at 7 a.m., followed by the final round at 10.

Randy Rizy (Timberlin GC), Ben Hunter (Sterling Farms GC) and John Dailey (Smith Richardson GC) are tied for third at 70.
