Blackout on WTNH.com

Some viewers watching the Shelton-Cheshire football game on WTNH.com Thursday experienced a blackout when the game went to commercial, then to a pair of television programs.

Shelton had just tied the game at 28 and kicked off when the game went to commercial. Then the end of the show "According to Jim" was shown, followed by the beginning of "Scrubs." The webcast returned to the game for the beginning of overtime, won by Shelton 35-34.

The webcasts have been well done thus far - although it would be helpful for viewers to see the game clock more often, especially in the fourth quarter.

I'm also curious how the ratings have been on MyTv9 for the rebroadcast football games on Saturday night.

On another front, football games will be back live on ESPNRadio-1300 on Friday nights beginning Oct. 3. The last three have been rebroadcast to Saturday morning because the station is contractually obligated to show the New Yorn Yankees' game.

I watched the Shelton vs. Chesire game on line. The game did cut to a T.V. show in overtime however, I backed out for just a moment and clicked back on to G.O.T.W. and watched the rest of the game. Channel 8 I think you guys are doing an excellent job. Keep up the good work and hopefully Game of The Week will continue beyond this year.
