Rory, Quiros share lead

Rory McIlroy and Alvaro Quiros shot identical 7-under-par 65s to hold a two-shot lead after the opening round of the Masters. The first round proved to be very receptive for scoring as 30 players broke par. Chances are, scoring conditions will get tougher as the course dries out. Defending champion Phil Mickelson bogeyed the 18th hole to finish at 2-under 70, 1 shot better than Tiger Woods. There looks to be a new No. 1 in the world come Monday in what has bcome a revolvibg door of Europeans. The latest Martin Kaymer, the reigning PGA champion, will likely keep his perfect streak of never making a cut at the Masters intact after shooting a 6-over 78. Only four golfers had worse scores.
