Kevin Giancola had his Taylor Made golf clubs stolen at Lyman Orchards Golf Club Tuesday - but no matter. Giancola won the 79th Connecticut PGA Championship by 5 shots over Frank Leja.
Giancola's clubs were found and returned on Wednesday, but not before Giancola shot a final-round 71 to finish at 7-under 209. It was the third time Giancola has won the event.
Leja finished second at 2-under 214. Tom DelRosso (Black Hall Club), 2009 champion Fran Marrello (Canaan CC) and Tom Gleeton (CC of Waterbury) tied for third at 1-over 217, eight shots behind Giancola.
