Suzy Whaley (above) will receive the Margo Dydek Award in both a pregame ceremony and at halftime of the Connecticut Sun WNBA basketball game Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

Whaley, a Farmington resident, was elected secretary of the PGA of America last November, the first woman elected as an officer for any position at the PGA of America. Dydek was a former all-star player for the Sun who died unexpectedly in 2011.

The Dydek Award is the centerpiece of the Sun's Inspiring Women Program.
