WFSB, CPTV announce deal

In a deal first reported in the New Haven Register last month, CPTV and WFSB announced Tuesday the creation of the Connecticut Sports Network, which will televise both the boys and girls basketball state championship finals.
Here is the cliff-notes version. The girls finals will be broadcast live on Saturday, March 9 on CPTV2, CPTV's digital broadcast channel. Here is the order of games at Central Connecticut State University: Class S, 11 a.m., Class M, 2 p.m., Class LL, 5 p.m. and Class L at 8 p.m. All games will be re-broadcast March 9 over the air on CPTV beginning at 6 a.m.
Three boys games will be broadcast live on WFSB-3' s digital channel, Eyewitness News Now, on March 15. Two of those games, Class S and M, will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, at Central.
The other two games will be played at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs. One of those will be televised live on WFSB-3 at 8:15 p.m., either Class LL or L. The other game will be on the digital channel at 6:15.
Check your local cable listings for channel positions. People can also listen to the games on-line at www.ctsn.tv.
