Evan Beirne of North Haven completed a busy spring and summer golf season by tying for third place at the 95th Met Open at Bethpage Black Thursday.
Beirne was the leader heading into the final round, but posted a 77 on Thursday.
Beirne now heads back to school at St. John's University after winning the Met Amateur, finishing second in the Connecticut Open and shooting a course-record 58 on his home course, New Haven CC.
