Dave Szewczul, of Tunxis Plantation Country Club shot a 1-over-par 72 Tuesday to win the 67th Connecticut Senior Open Championship by three shots over Dave Blovish (Ellington Ridge C) at The Golf Club of Avon.


Szewczul finished with a two-round total of 4-over 146. Tom Scarrozzo of Blue Fox Run GC finished third at 150, followed by Michael Stecyk (Oronoque Village CC) at 151. Lou Stone of New Haven CC was tied for seventh at 153.
