Willow Brook Golf Course in South Windsor has been named the Walter Lowell Public Golf Course Distinguished Service Award for 2014.

Willow Brook is a par-60 course that features a driving range. The course runs numerous clinics for women and families. A handful of area high school golf teams use it as its home course and Willow Brook runs a junior program.

The course will be honored at the Lowell Tournament being held at New Haven CC on May 27.
