Green withdraws from Connecticut Open
Ken Green did not show up for his 8:10 a.m. second round tee time Tuesday morning at Country Club of Fairfield, therefore withdrawing from the Connecticut Open.
Green, 52, shot a 4-over-par 74 in Monday's opening round. He plays with a prosthetic right leg, a result of an RV accident that killed his brother, girlfriend and dog in June of 2009.
Green, a member of the Champions Tour, was in pain Monday and said following his round he was not sure if he could make it through the tournament.
