Nathan Green was in the first group off the back nine in Thursday's opening round and posted a 5-under-par 65 to be the very early leader in the clubhouse. Will Claxton is at 5-under through 12 holes.

Matt Kuchar was at 5-under, but fell back to 3-under 67.

The heat index is supposed to be over 100 degrees this afternoon on the first full day of summer. While scoring conditions are supposedly better in hotter weather, it may work against the afternoon golfers. We will see.
