Rainaud wins 52nd PGA Match Play Championship
Adam Rainaud of South Hadley, Mass. and an assistant pro at the Black Hall Club in Old Lyme, won the 52nd PGA Match Play Championship last Friday in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Rainaud, 28, defeated Rich Berberian Jr. of Derry, New Hampshire, 5 and 4, in the final. Rainaud won the 24th Connecticut Section PGA Match Play Championship last October and was the only member of the Connecticut Section PGA to earn a spot in last year's Travelers Championship field.
Rainaud was the 2014 Connecticut Section Player of the Year.
