1. Dustin Johnson: Has six top 10 finishes this season and has some experience on this type of layout. He led for most of the final round at Whistling Straits in the 2010 PGA.

2. Jim Furyk: Has three top 5 finishes in his last five starts. Expect the vet to be in contention.

3. Phil Mickelson: Running out of time to complete the career Grand Slam, and outside of the Masters he hasn’t played well. But it’s a major and Phil likes the Chambers Bay layout.
