Jordan Williams now a Terrapin

The Waterbury Republican-American reported in Wednnesday's edition that Torrington High 6-foot-9 center Jordan Williams has made an oral commitment to play basketball for the University of Maryland.
Other Division I schools interested in Williams were St. John's, Providence, Marquette, Indiana, UMass and Xavier. Williams was a Register First Team All-State selection as a junior, averaging 28.8 points per game. He has 1,246 career points for the Red Raiders.

Trinity Catholic's Tevin Baskin is still mulling over his Division I choices.
