Sokol named Post University men's golf coach
Steve Sokol, the former Ansonia High School and Florida Southern University standout, is the new head men's golf coach at Post University in Waterbury.
Sokol, who won the 2003 Connecticut Open golf title, lives in Milford and is also an assistant pro at Orange Hills Country Club. He qualified to play in the 2004 U.S. Open championship.
This is Sokol's first college coaching job. In 2001, he was the medalist for the 2001 NCAA Division II championship while at Florida Southern.
