Ryan Leahey from Orange, a member at the Course at Yale, shot a 71 at Torrington Country Club Tuesday to earn medalist honors and a spot in the U.S. Mid-Amateur field.
The Mid-Amateur will be held September 25-30 at Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

This will be the final golf column of the season. I want to thank all of the golf professionals for putting up with me...er...Average Joe and his very, very fast swing. Amazingly, he actually won a few holes this year.
