The "new" Madison Country Club set to reopen June 6

What started as a plan to redo six greens turned into a complete restoration project for Madison Country Club (pictured above)
.

Yes, that is correct: every fairway, every green and every bunker was redone for the private course that will reopen on June 6.

“Every inch has been redone,” Madison CC head pro Frank Carta said. “It’s unheard of, to rebuild a golf course in 70-75 days.”

The course was closed on Sept. 1. Carta said Agri-scape, the construction company that executed the job, had already started to do a little bit of work before then. Everything had to be completed before snow started to fall to allow ample time for everything to grow in.

Carta said the target date to reopen was May 24, but the extra two weeks gives the course more time to be ready for play.
